Google Announces Gemini 4 Carbon
The model took first place on the new Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. The release will be gradual: this week, selected cybersecurity professionals will receive access step by step, after which it will be rolled out through the Fairwind program. A general release is promised “as soon as possible.” For comparison, two weeks passed between Argon’s announcement and its public release.
The price is the same as Argon’s at launch — $2/$10 — and will double afterward.
Why it matters
AnalysisThe staged cybersecurity rollout and post-launch price increase show how Google is balancing early access to new AI models with commercial scaling.
