Claude Code adds variable to disable dangerous-command protections

Claude Code now includes an environment variable that can bypass even the safety blocks that remained active with --dangerously-skip-permissions.
Interesting fact: the --dangerously-skip-permissions flag in Claude Code does not actually allow absolutely everything. Even when it was used, the system continued to block some clearly dangerous commands. For example, rm -rf ~, which can recursively delete the contents of a user's home directory.
However, a recent update introduced the ability to disable even this protection, if users really want to do so.
To do this, set the new environment variable:
CLAUDE_CODE_EVEN_MORE_DANGEROUSLY_SKIP_PERMISSIONS=1
Why it matters
AnalysisThe update shows that agentic coding tools can have multiple protection layers, and fully bypassing them increases the risk of accidental data loss.
