NVIDIA Releases Source Code for ARDY — New AI Model for Real-Time Movement Generation
NVIDIA has unveiled ARDY, a new AI model that allows for interactive real-time character movement generation. The model is available with source code, weights, and a working demo.
NVIDIA Releases Source Code for ARDY
NVIDIA has released the source code for ARDY — a new AI model for interactive real-time generation of human movements.
You simply describe what the character should do, and it does it. Right during the movement. You can change the text command on the fly, specify a new waypoint, or add keyframes, and the system instantly reconfigures the movement. No pre-calculation or waiting is required.
This time, NVIDIA has released everything at once:
- source code;
- model weights;
- working demo.
The system is fully ready for local deployment. The models require 20–24 GB of VRAM.
Interestingly, this technology was developed not only for animation — it is based on the same research that NVIDIA uses in the development of humanoid robots.
Why it matters
AnalysisThis news is significant as ARDY opens new possibilities for interactive animation and robotics, allowing developers to create more realistic and adaptive characters. The open-source nature also fosters community development and innovation in this field.
