FigureAI Collects the Largest Dataset for Robot Training
FigureAI has developed the Index app, allowing users to record videos of everyday tasks and earn money. The company has already gathered over 15 million videos for training its AI models.
FigureAI Collects the Largest Dataset for Robot Training
The startup FigureAI has been testing the Index app in a closed mode for 4 months, allowing ordinary people to record videos of everyday tasks and earn money for it.
During this time, the company has paid users $15 million, and the app has been downloaded over 264,000 times in 100+ countries. The number of active users (WAU) is approximately 44,000 people.
Currently, more than 15 million videos have been collected, and the app processes 30 minutes of video every second. This amounts to nearly 5 years of human labor per day. These data are already being used to train Helix, and the blog states that developers are "observing significant results in generalization."
Figure plans to increase data collection by another 100 times and spend over $1 billion on data and computing next year. The scale is impressive!
The app is already available on AppStore and GooglePlay.
Why it matters
