Tip for Using Codex to Define Goals

Executive TL;DR30s read

Using the define-goal command in Codex can significantly enhance the quality of goal formulation for AI. This allows AI to work more efficiently and effectively.

Tip for Using Codex to Define Goals

Instead of using the command /goal, it is recommended to use define-goal. This allows an expert-level AI to formulate goals better than you can yourself. This skill is official from OpenAI.

As a result, prompts can work longer, and the outcomes are of higher quality. First, you ask Sol in high-effort mode to explore the task and create a plan.

Next, an important point: Sol does not automatically launch Luna as a sub-agent. Therefore, you need to explicitly tell it to create a separate thread in Luna Max, pass the task execution there, and return the result back to the parent thread of Sol.

Sol checks the result, and if it is not good enough, it sends it back to the same Luna Max thread for revision. This continues until the result is approved.

Workflow:
Sol → Luna → Sol → Luna → Sol
