Anthropic Loses Key Claude Code Engineers Ahead of Possible IPO

Two core members of Anthropic’s Claude Code team left almost simultaneously as the company reportedly prepares for a public listing.
Something unusual is happening at Anthropic.
Almost simultaneously, two key members of the Claude Code team have left the company.
Among them are Tariq, one of the project’s best-known engineers, and Anthony Morris, who worked on the desktop application.
Given that Anthropic is reportedly preparing for a near-term IPO, an intriguing speculation arises: by resigning now, they may be able to avoid a six-month lock-up period on employee share sales that could apply after the company goes public.
In that case, they could become millionaires and simply retire. 😎
