OpenAI Significantly Updates ChatGPT
OpenAI has introduced new features for ChatGPT, including free access to the GPT-5.6 Luna model and a new button to enhance reasoning.
OpenAI Significantly Updates ChatGPT:
Now, Free and Go users can use GPT-5.6 Luna in text chats without restrictions—a model whose capabilities are already more than sufficient for most everyday tasks. Additionally, a Think button is introduced on the free plan, allowing the model to spend more time reasoning when answering complex questions.
Plus and Pro users are also receiving updates. All new chats now default to GPT-5.6 Sol, and a slider has been added to adjust the amount of reasoning before a response. According to OpenAI, the new version of the model allows for 68% fewer factual errors compared to GPT-5.5 Instant.
However, this update only affects regular ChatGPT chats. The GPT-5.6 Sol versions for Codex and Work remain unchanged.
