OpenAI Significantly Lowers Prices for GPT-5.6

OpenAI has announced significant price reductions for its new GPT-5.6 model:

  • For Luna – an 80% decrease (now $0.20/$1.20 per million i/o)
  • For Terra – a 20% decrease (now $2/$12 per million i/o)
  • For Sol – unfortunately, no drop, but the API now features a Fast mode: the price doubles, but the speed increases by 2.5 times without quality loss.

We are still waiting for GPT-5.6 Sol on Cerebras.

Competition certainly works wonders.
