The Responses API now returns a 404 Not Found error for gpt-6-astra, while random or truly non-existent model names receive a 400.
At the same time, the same 404 is returned for GPT-5.6 Cyber, whose existence we already know about.
A similar oddity was noted in the Bedrock API — it was through this that Fable 5.1 was discovered a day before its release.
It seems that GPT-6 Astra is already being prepared for launch.
