Claude Introduces Built-in Browser in Cowork
If a task is related to a website, the browser opens in the sidebar of Cowork, and Claude navigates through pages, fills out forms, and completes the task on its own.
No installation is required. The Claude browser is integrated directly into the desktop application and operates separately from your regular browser and your logins.
The feature will gradually roll out over the next week in the desktop application for all users on paid plans.
If you prefer to work in your regular browser where you are already logged into the necessary accounts, Claude for Chrome is now available to all users on paid plans.
If you are already using Claude in Chrome, it will remain the default option.
Why it matters
