Executive TL;DR30s read

Google has introduced the new Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, featuring enhanced tools for video creation. Users can now shoot longer clips with the model's new functionalities.

Google Releases Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash

Omni Flash has finally reached GA and added proper tools for assembling long videos. The preview version of the model will soon be unavailable. Now, videos can be continued in chunks of 10 seconds up to a total length of 40 seconds. When extending, the model looks at the last 10 seconds of the source, rather than just the final second as before.

A draft mode of 360p has appeared. It is faster and costs $0.03 per second compared to $0.10 for 720p. Meanwhile, 1080p and 4K cost $0.15 and $0.30 per second, but both options are upscale, not native generation.

The beta version held the top spot for a long time, but honestly, I don't understand how. Even the old Sidens 2.0 seemed more appealing to me.
