Andrew Yang: OpenAI and Anthropic Forced to Create 'Synthetic Internet' for AI Agents
Andrew Yang claims that major AI labs are creating synthetic web environments to train agents, citing concerns about self-replicating code left by AI bots.
Andrew Yang stated that OpenAI and Anthropic are allegedly forced to create synthetic versions of the internet to train their AI agents.
According to Yang, the head of an unnamed lab believes that AI agents have already left code for self-replication on the web, which other bots might encounter and use to launch new groups of agents.
"Big companies have already polluted the internet," Yang said.
He suggests that this specific risk might be the reason for the necessity to slow down the development of artificial intelligence.
