DeepSeek launches Creator Mode to let users reshape their harness

Within a few days, the DeepSeek Harness repository collected more than 140k stars on GitHub, growing faster than OpenClaw at its peak.

In August, DeepSeek released its own open-source harness. It is built around the idea that “everything is a plugin”, and the project has now added Creator Mode: you describe an idea in words, and the agent writes a matching plugin and embeds it directly into the application interface.

In other words, the harness interface is no longer fixed and can be customized for any workflow.

For example, users can build a video editor inside the chat, change the style of the entire app, or create a statistics panel for conversations.
