Updates from OpenAI for Codex and ChatGPT Work
OpenAI has introduced new updates for Codex and ChatGPT Work, which include:
- Inference Optimizations: Implemented optimizations that allow for resource savings, positively impacting all subscribers of GPT-5.6 Sol. It is expected that the available usage volume will increase by approximately 10%.
- Change in Context Window Limit: It was found that increasing the context window limit from 272,000 to 372,000 tokens led to higher than expected billing. Therefore, the limit has been temporarily reverted to 272,000 tokens, but support for 372,000 will be restored in the coming days. After this change, limits are expected to be consumed much more slowly.
- Optimization of Multi-Agent Processing: At high reasoning levels, it was discovered that more multi-agent processing is being used than planned. This issue will also be addressed.
- Changes in Codex: Limits have been lifted and five-hour restrictions for Plus, Business, and Pro have been temporarily removed.
These changes aim to make the use of OpenAI services more efficient and user-friendly.
