NVIDIA Releases DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 with 81 GB Size Reduction and Minimal Quality Loss
NVIDIA introduced an optimized DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 model that is 81 GB smaller while retaining nearly the same programming and agent benchmark performance.
NVIDIA has released DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017, a version whose size is reduced by 81 GB with almost no loss in quality.
In programming tests, scores dropped by only 0.7 points on Terminal-Bench and 0.26 points on SciCode. At the same time, the model's performance on programming and agent-task benchmarks remained practically unchanged.
The optimized version is already ready for production inference.
Why it matters
AnalysisCompressing an LLM without noticeable quality loss lowers memory requirements and inference costs, making production deployments more accessible.
